Why we choose our prestigious venues…

If you’ve visited one of our SHOWCASES, you’ll know that all are at prestigious venues. But that’s not an accident. A lot of thought goes into the selection of our venues. Here are some of the things we take into consideration:

Size and capacity

Venue size is important to consider when planning an event. It’s so important that the size and capacity can accommodate the numbers of exhibitors, visitors, and of course the theatres where we hold our seminars. Nobody wants to feel cramped, whether visiting a stand, watching a speaker or finding somewhere to relax and take in the day.

Layout and aesthetics

You can hold an event just about anywhere – but who wants to visit a dull brick building when you can choose from so many cleverly designed spaces? Surroundings create an ambience, a talking point and can easily change someone’s mood. The style of the venue also needs to reflect the brand, the purpose and the target audience that it is aimed at. ALSO the layout is essential for seamless processes, such as ticket scanning, registration, seminars, manoeuvring exhibition stands and breakout areas. Phew!

Acoustics

NOT just for performances, we send our expert team to test the acoustics at a venue for use of microphones in the seminars, whether that overlaps and disturbs the exhibitors (and vice versa). We also check how sound travels in a room full of exhibitor stands and people making their way through the stands, speaking to exhibitors and whether they can be heard easily. Echos and poor acoustics can ruin an event, and we want visitors and exhibitors alike to enjoy a good auditory experience.

Parking and access

The overall accessibility of an event – for exhibitors and visitors alike – can make or break an event. Unloading for exhibitors, or access for the to be able to collect couriered equipment is extremely important for them to be set up in time. If you have a venue that is out of town, it’s essential for easy accessible parking, enough spaces and easy access to the event space from the parking areas. Also taking into consideration the weather conditions (nobody wants to trudge far in snow from their parking space to the registration area). And accessibility also includes (it goes without saying!) wider entrances, ramps, and elevators for disabled guests and those with mobility challenges.

Exclusivity

Yes, we can ensure the venue has the correct spaces, accessibility, parking, near to public transport, good refreshments, good toilets, nice lighting and the correct acoustics – but nobody wants to go to a BORING VENUE. We want to create a memorable experience, we want to make people excited and proud that they are attending an exclusive event venue. One that they want to talk about to share and to take pictures and videos of! And THAT’S why we take care to select our venues. We scout out a location, ask for a tour, test acoustics and dimensions – and if we’re excited about visiting a venue – we KNOW YOU ARE TOO!
