Specflue to implement SAP Business One
Sapphire will implement a 60 user SAP Business One System at Specflue, the UK’s number one supplier of flue, chimney and renewable energy solutions.
With expansion plans on the horizon, Specflue’s Managing Director, Jeremy Fry, said it had become apparent the company’s seven year old financial management system required an upgrade: “Quite simply Specflue needed an integrated solution including warehouse management, CRM, financials and purchasing.”
SAP Business One is an integrated, affordable business management application. It’s a single system that can automate critical business operations, including finance, sales, purchasing, inventory, and manufacturing; providing accurate, up-to-the-minute views of business data. SAP Business One is easy to configure, quick to install, and easy to use. It was an ideal fit for the requirements of Specflue.
When it came to selecting an implementation partner, Jeremy said he was aware that competitors had experienced difficulties when implementing SAP Business One, so knew there were definitely several companies to avoid. However, he was impressed with Sapphire after meeting them at an exhibition.
“We originally met Sapphire at the IT Showcase, and were confident they were the organisation that could most successfully support us. We had also shortlisted another solution, and although we thought this software could also meet our requirements, our confidence in Sapphire swung the decision. Their demos were professional and organised, with all the information we required integrated into one system.”
Specflue was founded on the provision of top class products and outstanding service, and SAP Business One will play an important role in further strengthening the company’s relationship with customers.
“We view the implementation of SAP Business One as a really important strategic investment to enable us to drive service improvements for customers by improving their interaction with Specflue, ensuring more streamlined and consistent processes,” said Jeremy.
He went on to add: “Web operation is critical within our industry – it generates a turnover of approximately half a million each year for us. It was important for us to select a strong B2B ecommerce platform, and Netalogue from Sapphire provided a simple solution for improving the customer experience, which is our primary objective.
“Once SAP Business One is live we expect to be able to remove a lot of previously manual systems; this will enable us to grow the business significantly without increasing our cost base, which will contribute to all aspects of our growth and development.”
Ian Caswell, Managing Director at Sapphire Systems, said it was encouraging that the Sapphire name instills such confidence amongst other customer focused organisations.
“Sapphire works with businesses of all sizes to ensure that their investment with our company and the software we provide will help them save time and money in the long run, and I believe this expertise and professionalism is reflected in every task our teams undertake.
“Just like Specflue, our ultimate objective is to deliver the best customer service possible.”
